It all started with the 2 silver awards in the International Spirits Challenge that Serious Bee Distillers won in 2020, for the Clutius & Clusius Amber and the Clutius & Clusius Pearl.

The International Spirits Challenge is the most prestigious international competition for distillates. Every year, hundreds of distillers worldwide compete with their finest products for the coveted awards.

In 2021 Serious Bee Distillers won no less than 5 awards in the International Spirits Challenge. This time there was silver for the Clutius & Clusius Pearl Noble Xeres and the Clutius & Clusius Prince of Orange, but also for the Janse Oude Klare and Het Zilte Nat, both commissioned old jenevers. In addition, there was a bronze award for the Serious Bee Gin.

In 2021 there were also 2 important awards in the Frankfurt International Trophy. This is an interesting international competition because of its link with the Michelin culinary standard. In addition to distillates, beers and wines are also assessed. Serious Bee Distillers won a Gold Award for the Clutius & Clusius Noble Xeres and a Grand Gold Award for the Clutius & Clusius Amber.

At the beginning of 2022 it was decided to compete again in the International Spirits Challenge. This time with 3 new drinks, developed in 2021, the Black Nazareth No.3, the Serious Bee Maltwine Genever T12 and the GinCityGin.

Participation in the 2023 Frankfurt International Challenge once again yielded wonderful awards. A Grand Gold for the GinCityGin, a Gold for the Serious Bee Gin and a Silver for the Finest Mead, mild and traditional. To top it all off, Serious Bee Distillers was also awarded Best Distillery 2023 The Netherlands!
